Middle School is a 1:1 iPad environment, and Apple TV is integrated into every learning space. Digital literacy classes teach students practical, responsible, and safe use of technology. We balance the use of technology with pen-to-paper work, and schedule intentional tech-free days. Arts & Sciences Rotation takes place once a week. At each grade level students participate in up to three performing arts or S.T.E.A.M. classes, such as: Makerspace Challenges, Stop Motion Animation, Coding Class, Origami, Microscopy, and Greenhouse. Middle School students take on more responsibility for their belongings, time management, and study skills. Homework is posted online, and there is Study Hall time available for independent study as well as for meetings with teachers. "I love Barnesville because it has given me the preparation that I need for high school and beyond. The teachers really care about you as an individual, and they always make sure you are doing your best. I like the small classes because you become really close to all your classmates to make it such a great environment." - Jessie Technology Arts & Sciences Study Hall
