Language Arts at Barnesville is not
only learning about the English

communication skills on all levels
is encouraged whether it is in the
written or artistic form.
You will write every day in Middle
School Language Arts class —
journaling, responding to prompts,
and completing assignments
related to reading and class
discussions. By the time you
graduate from eighth grade, you
will be comfortable with creative
writing and personal reflections as
well as multi-page, research-based
essays.
Book discussions center on
character study and examination
of various literary devices.
Comprehension is achieved
through reflective thinking and
writing where you will be
challenged to support your
observations by citing the text.
