Winter 2014 '05 '06 '07 '08 Sarah Fiedler '05 is attending her first year of graduate school at Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. She is studying Physical Therapy and will graduate in three years as a doctor. Laura Flynn '06 is in her senior year at the University of Maryland. She is majoring in Early Childhood Education and is student teaching in Silver Spring this year. Mackenzie Frazier '06 is studying for her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy degree at Gannon University in Erie, PA. She played lacrosse all through high school and college after getting her start with Ms. Kitner on Barnesville's Middle School lacrosse team in sixth grade. Next summer she will travel to Europe with a school group. Austin Fiedler '07 is majoring in Sports Event Marketing and working at Jersey Mike's in Milestone. He's still tall – 6'5"! Randi Kontner '08 is a sophomore at the University of Maryland and is pursuing a degree in Architecture. After Barnesville, Emily Warfield '08 attended Mercersburg Academy. During her time as a full-time boarding student, she became independent and learned to Anna Richstein '99 in Nepal. live on her own, while balancing both academics and afterschool activities. She is a sophomore at Franklin & Marshall College and is pursuing a degree in Sociology and Business. She also volunteers for a local elementary school. She writes, "I thank Barnesville for guiding me in the right direction and I look forward [to] what is ahead!" '09 Anna Richstein '09 is the coxswain for her school's ladies quad on the rowing team. She is also the Chief of Layout for the school magazine, Lundsbergaren, which is published four times a year. She won the Bertil Gylling stipend for rhetorical excellence throughout her rhetorics class as well as the Anders Cederstrom stipend for excellence in history. This past summer, she visited Nepal, where she stayed at an all-girls children's orphanage in Banepa. She taught basic English, Swedish, and health & hygiene. She also attended the Operation Smile International Student Leadership Conference in Norfolk, VA. For her senior project in high school, she plans to start and operate an OpSmile club at her school. Hanna Warfield '09 attended Mercersburg Academy where she played 12 varsity sports. She is interested in becoming an engineer and is attending Gettysburg College. Grant Ross '10 (#60) at Ravens' Stadium for the Maryland State Championship game. 8
