Barnesville has adopted Next Generation Science Standards published by the National
Science Teachers Association.
Our Middle School science program invites students to develop a deeper understanding
of life science, physical science, and earth and space sciences. Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Math (STEM) activities such as building water towers and roller
coasters are woven into our curriculum, and we incorporate the arts into as many lessons
as possible.
Our robust science curriculum is enhanced through partnerships with local science,
environmental and educational institutions. A school-wide partnership with Black Hill
Regional Park enhances our outdoor and environmental education field studies.
