We integrate LITERATURE and SOCIAL STUDIES topics to help develop CULTURAL AWARENESS and skills to interpret both historical and literary sources so Students become a significant historical figure from the Civil War or Industrial Revolution and provide mini-history lessons to guests at their living museum. Living History Projects 8th Grade Research Paper Essays are a central feature of Middle School Social Studies class. Students hone their skills in critical reading and analysis. Every student demonstrates mastery of this skill building process with a required research project at the end of their eighth grade year. Students choose their own topic based on issues or events central to the latter part of the 20th century. is is a graduation requirement for all Barnesville students. YOU evolve as a thinker, as a writer, and as a CITIZEN.
