2012 Strategic Vision Summary
This strategic vision transitions the School from being identified primarily
as a country day school to a school of arts and sciences -- one that offers
an outstanding academic program rich in the humanities, arts, math
and science. It focuses on sustaining The Barnesville School's mission while
adapting to changing expectations and a challenging economic environment.
We recognize that our parents and children come to Barnesville for its
intimate and nurturing environment, dedicated teachers, strong academics,
close community and moderate tuition. This strategic vision maintains these
core values while leveraging our unique location in the Montgomery County
Agricultural Reserve and proximity to the technology corridor to further
develop our academic program. The vision also anticipates facilities upgrades
based on a comprehensive master plan that supports the School's mission and
forward-looking vision.
The Board believes that this vision offers the School a bold path to a sustainable
and successful future.
