2 V i t t l e s & V i n o S h i n d i g Auction Rules GENERAL AUCTION RULES: These rules apply to both the Silent Auction and Live Auction. 1. All bidding must be done at the Shindig on Saturday, April 21, 2018. 2. Amount bid in excess of fair market value may be tax deductible; consult your tax advisor.* 3. All auction items expire within one year of the date of the auction, unless otherwise indicated. 4. All sales are transactions between the purchaser and the donor. The Barnesville School makes no warranties, ex- pressed or implied, nor shall the Barnesville School be held liable for any injuries or other direct or indirect conse- quential damages that may be incurred. 5. In the event a purchased item or service cannot be provided by the donor, the Auction Committee, at its sole discre- tion, reserves the right to refund the purchase, provide a credit toward the next annual auction or substitute a similar item or service of equal or greater value. All claims for a refund, credit or substitution must be made within one year from the date of the auction. 6. All auction items must be removed from Darnall Colonial Farm by the end of the evening. Items may be removed only by exhibiting a paid receipt at the time of departure. SILENT AUCTION RULES: These rules, in addition to the General Rules, apply to the Silent Auction Bidding that opens at 6:30pm on Saturday, April 21, 2018. All categories close by 8:30pm on Saturday, April 21, 2018. LIVE AUCTION RULES: These rules, in addition to the General Rules, apply to the Live Auction. The Live Auction begins at 8:45 pm on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Darnall Colonial Farm. ABSENTEE BIDS: Anonymous bidders will attend the Auction and bid on behalf of an absentee bidder and bid based on the top limit amount indicated for each item listed. 1. Completed Absentee Bid forms must be submitted on or before noon on Friday, April 20, 2018. Forms can be turned into Robin Snider's office, faxed to 301.972.4076 or mailed to The Barnesville School Communications Office, PO Box 404, Barnesville, MD 20838 . 2. Successful bidders are notified within five business days following the auction. 3. Full payment is required prior to pick-up at The Barnesville School. Cash, check, Visa, MasterCard and American Express are accepted. *Under IRS rules, only the portion of your bid/payment that exceeds the fair market value of an item may be deductible as a charitable contribution. Please consult your tax advisor. Ticket price is not tax deductible.
