BUDDY PROGRAM Younger grades are paired with older grades so students develop meaningful relationships with students in other age groups. Older students have genuine opportunities to be role models and leaders while younger children know they have special friends looking out for them. Buddy activities are built into our schedule once a month and include craft projects, playground time, reading books, community service, and sometimes just goofing around. TEA TIME Lower School grades are grouped together to participate in T.E.A. Time (Team Enrichment Activities). Preschool and kindergarten work together each Friday for cross-curricular and collaborative activities. is time is also used for community service projects or to meet with Buddies. CHARACTER EDUCATION Barnesville's character education is built around nine core values: Kindness, Service, Perseverance, Respect, Initiative, Courage, Cooperation, Responsibility, and Honesty. Regular meetings are held in the classroom, among divisions, and in whole-school assemblies to reinforce these values. rough lessons and experiences, Barnesville kindergartners learn what it means to be a good friend and a responsible member of a larger community.
