Barnesville School of Arts & Sciences Summer Camp 6 Summer Camp BarnesvilleSchool.org lowEr sChool lEonardos (3rd-5Th) July 7-11, 2014 (Week 4) (w/ Rec Camp: $330; w/o Rec Camp: $180) Time Travel: Each day campers will find themselves in a different time period. You never know where we will end up. We will visit Ancient Greece, the Jurassic Period, the 1950s, maybe even the future. Join us for our adventures in time! Advanced Robotics: This camp is for campers who have attended Barnesville Robotics camp. Improve your building and programming skills as you face more difficult challenges. One highlight of this week is the annual Barnesville 'Bot Battle. Previous Lego Mindstorm Robotics experience is required for this camp. July 14-18, 2014 (Week 5) (w/ Rec Camp: $330; w/o Rec Camp: $180) If We Build It…: Explore architecture from the wonders of the ancient world to modern times. Campers will use a variety of materials—Legos, K'Nex, blocks, spaghetti—to recreate famous structures, Then they will use what they learned to build creative structures of their own. Campers will create a photo album of all of their master- pieces. July 14-25, 2014 (Weeks 5 & 6) (w/ Rec Camp: $660; w/o Rec Camp: $360) Drama Seussical: Explore your dramatic side! During this two-week session campers will learn songs and choreography from Seussical, the Musical. We will end with a camp-wide presentation on Friday, July 25 as part of the second annual Barnesville's Got Talent Variety Show. July 21-25, 2014 (Week 6) (w/ Rec Camp: $330; w/o Rec Camp: $180) Explore the Ag Reserve: The Barnesville School has a unique location in the Montgomery County Agricultural Reserve. This week campers will travel through- out this area and explore the resources it offers. We will hike Sugarloaf Mountain, bike or walk along the C&O Canal, and visit a working farm. Come explore the fun things to do in the Barnesville area. This is a travel camp and campers will spend most of the time off campus.
