Thomas W. said, "After everything that Barnesville has done to help me, I wanted to be able to give back, and the Eagle project was the perfect opportunity to do so." To help with the final installation, Thomas recruited former classmates he's known since preschool and kindergarten: Thomas K. (Our Lady of Good Counsel High School), Tucker H. (St. John's Catholic Prep), Seth D. (Maret School), Marshall H. (Saint John's Catholic Prep), and Luke H. (Saint John's Catholic Prep). The greenhouse was built in the spring of 2016 by another Barnesville graduate, Trey V. Barnesville Class of 2013, for his Eagle Scout project. Thomas Kaminski (Class of 2015) earned Eagle Scout, working with Catholic Charities to support a population des- perate in need -- men and women returning to society from prison. He made "Welcome Home" backpacks filled with necessities such as load- ed Metro fare cards, alarm clocks, hats, gloves, underwear, socks, scarves, assorted toiletries, and more. The packs also included messages of encouragement from Troop 496. To collect the supplies, Thomas K. organized a donation drive, filling up two big rooms in his house. He then recruited help from his Troop to help load up the backpacks, ultimately delivering 101 fully-loaded backpacks to the sponsoring organization.
