May Day
On May 1, the Lower School students participated in our an-
nual May Day Celebration, complete with a May Pole and
all the May Day elements: Hobby Horse and Teaser, Green
Man, Chimney Sweeps, and Morris Dancing. Students from
EC3 to 4th grade danced and sang songs which included tra-
ditional children's songs, such as Lavender's Blue, English folk
dances, such as Cumberland Reel, and party games from vari-
ous states around the country, such as Here Comes Sally from
North Carolina. e celebration came to a close with the May
Day Carol sung by the entire Lower School.
