Summer 2014 2010 2014 Gordon Reeves High School: St. Andrew's Episcopal High School Favorite Aspect of Barnesville: Taking on challenges. Limits, like fears, are often imaginary. I developed and realized I am capable of much more than I ever thought. I am now an individual who actively seeks challenges and gives maximum effort at all times, which I could not have honestly said before attending Barnesville. Favorite Memory of Barnesville: When I got 100% on a science test and no one else did. It might seem self-centered, but I was very proud of myself for earning high marks against the odds. Barnesville Extracurricular Activities: Soccer; cross country; basketball; lacrosse; yoga and Sarge About High School: I am looking forward to new academic challenges and responsi- bilities; however, I am not looking forward to being the little fish in a big pond. Future Career: US Air Force Para-rescue Jumper Graduation Quotation: "I have personally experienced a sense of community and joy every day I've walked into the Barnesville building from day one in sixth grade. . . . I have felt this same joy every single day, not only from the smiles of students and staff alike, but also from that success in doing, finding, and achieving in academics and athletics." High School: St. Andrew's Episcopal High School Favorite Aspect of Barnesville: Being friends with everyone. I have become really close to everyone in the middle school – students of various ages and personalities – and have always felt like I "fit in." Favorite Memory of Barnesville: e 6th grade trip to Sheridan. I still vividly re- member our intense canoe trip, bonding on the hike to the cold spring, and seeing a weird side of everyone as we belted out cheesy songs around the bonfire. Barnesville Extracurricular Activities: Cross country; soccer; lacrosse; basketball; painting; yoga; Latin dance; chorus and the variety show About High School: I look forward to transitioning from a child into an adult in high school because of new academic and social experiences. Future Career: A biological sketch artist; park ranger; environmentalist; or taxo- nomical ecologist. I want to contribute in some way to the bettering of our envi- ronment. Graduation Quotation: "I want to offer advice to every young student in here. e years ahead of you will be some of the best years of your life. Make sure to cherish all of the memories of your Barnesville experience, and show respect to the people who make this school possible. Barnesville has given me new opportunities for the future." 2010 2014 Joy Reeves 9
