On September 4, we welcomed our students back for a new year and we have been on the go ever since. In October, the Barnesville boys' soccer team finished second in the MJAC Championship game after a very successful season. In addition, our girls' cross country team brought home the second place trophy at the MJAC X-C Championship Meet, while the boys' team placed third! Also in October, Barnesville held its 13th annual Barnesville Basement sale. It was so great to see many of you return to campus to donate your gently used goods. This event really connects Barnesville with the surrounding community and we are so appreciative that our alumni families continue to support that effort. Later that week, our students participated in our annual Walk for the Homeless, which was followed – as is tradition – by the Halloween Parade. The Walk for the Homeless supports the Frederick Rescue Mission in Frederick, MD. The students raised almost $3,000 this year! In November, Barnesville students took time out to remember those who have served in the military with our annual Veterans' Day ceremony. Each student makes a contribution to Fischer House, an organization that helps the families of injured or ill service men and women be closer to their loved ones while they receive treatment. The students also place an American flag in front of the School to honor those who have served. First day of school Cross Country Team Boys' Soccer Team
