The Five Best Fairy Friends She had fallen into a black hole. She screamed. She landed on a pile of colorful feather pillows. She looked up at the ceiling and the black hole closed. She looked around. Dede could hear a soft scream. She looked back up at the ceiling and the black hole had opened. The black hole spit out Jorgia, Opel, Mea, and Rose. By Delaney Don, Guest Writer O nce upon a time there were five best fairy friends. They lived in Gardania in a beautiful flower bush outside the palace. There is a tiny little village with a castle inside the bush. Their names were Opel the Baker, Mea the Goofball, Jorgia the Dimwit, Rose the smartypants, and Dede the Athlete. Each girl had a different look and personality. Opel was skinny with light brown hair pulled back in a pony, and always wore pants and a t-shirt, Mea has red hair and always wore some type of purple shirt and jeans. Jorgia would always wear a soccer jersey and had really light blonde hair that it made it look white, Rose had straight brown hair and always wore it down, she would wear a collard shirt and khaki pants, Dede would wear her hair in a pony with a headband and would wear a sweatshirt and pants. One day the five friends were flying to a wedding that Opel had baked a cake for. "That cake is beautiful," exclaimed Rose. "Thanks," replied Opel. "I was up two nights in a row trying to get it finished." "That was fun!" exclaimed Rose with a bright, cheerful smile. "Yeah, let's do it again," added Jorgia. The girls laughed. They all stood up, and looked around. "Looks like a castle ballroom," said Mea. "Yeah," agreed Opel. " Looks like a ballroom." "How would you know that?" questioned Dede. "Because I've been here before," replied Opel. "I baked a cake for the Queen. This is were they had me put it. There were a lot of people there, all of them dressed in the fanciest dresses and suits." The grand door opened and out flew a teenage girl. She had on a pink, floral dress with her dirty blonde long hair tied back in a neat braid. She flew very gracefully. She stood up and all of the sudden she was falling. ...into a black hole. "Well, you did a good job with it," said Dede with a smile. All of the sudden Mea's wings flapped oddly causing her to bump into Opel. Opel lost grip of the cake and it fell and smashed into pieces once it hit the ground. "Hello," said the figure with a voice like silk. "Glad you all could make it. My name is Princess Lilliana, but my friends call me Lily so you may call me Lily." "Glad we could make it?" asked Jorgia. "You sucked us into a black hole! I was eating...." "My cake!" yelled Opel. She turned to Mea, "This is all your fault!" "I think what Rose means here is, 'Hi Lily nice to meet you!'" interrupted Dede. She smiled at Jorgia. Jorgia grinned and crossed her arms. Lily smiled. "My fault?!" screamed Mea with anger in her voice. "It's not my fault my wings flapped wildly! You are the one flying right in front of me!" You could see the anger in their eyes. "Nice to meet you girls too," said Lily. Then her bright smile on her face turned into a deep frown. "Stop!" screamed Jorgia and Delaney at the same time. "I think it's time for all of us to go home. It's been a long day," continued Dede. Mea and Opel looked at each other and snorted. All of the fairy friends took off in separate directions, and went home. "Is everything alright?" asked Rose. "Yes, yes fine," replied Lily All of the fairies were at their homes eating dinner with their families. Dede went up to her bedroom and sat at her desk. She pulled her diary out of the top desk drawer, and wrote, "Today Mea and Opel got into a fight because something went wrong with Mea's wings. It cost Opel's cake it's life." She was finishing her sentence when she heard a thump, thump on her window. She flew over to her window and sat on the bench. She looked out her window to see a hummingbird poking at the window. She smiled. She stood up and all of the sudden she was falling. "Then if you don't mind me asking why did you sure us down a black hole?" asked Jorgia. The princess turned to Jorgia. "Because I need you," replied the princess. The five friends started whispering to each other. "I need you because I need someone to fight the the Evil One." To be continued... 5
