'06 Barnesville School Magazine BarnesvilleSchool.org/AlumniUpdates Allie Alexander '06 is an anthropology major and education studies minor at Brandeis University. Last spring, she studied Multiculturalism and Human Rights with SIT in South Africa. This summer, she is interning with the Victoria and Albert Museum's Theatre and Performance Department. She has also been involved in theatre in both high school and college and will be the producer for a student-run show at Brandeis in the fall. Rikki Kontner '06 is majoring in marketing and finance at the University of Maryland – College Park. This summer, she is interning for WUSA9. Alex Lee '06 is currently taking classes at Northern VA Community College with plans to obtain a BFA in Theatre (both performance and production) from George Mason University. Since her days at Barnesville, she has been very involved with local community theatres, mostly working in lighting and stage management. In the fall, she will be a substitute teacher for Loundoun County Public Schools. Charolotte Riggs '06 is spending her summer "Walking Across America" and giving lectures in support of the pro-life movement. She is majoring in statistics at the University of Notre Dame and is also a member of the Notre Dame choir. Recently, she played in the N.D. Operas: Chronicles of the Carmelites and Sweeny Todd. She is currently applying for graduate school. '08 '09 '11 '12 Vinayak Ramaswamy '06 and Rikki Kontner '06 in Central Park Jihyun Lee '08 graduated from high school where she was a tri-varsity athlete (Robert Wiatt Farrar Award) and played field hockey, track and lacrosse. She will attend the University of Richmond in the fall. Alexander Lee '09 graduated from Georgetown Prep this year and will be attending Princeton University in the fall. In June, Alexander returned to Barnesville to give the Graduation Address: "As one of my favorite quotes goes, 'to whom much is given, much is expected,' and we, as Barnesville alumni, have certainly been given a lot in the opportunity to have this great education. I know you will use it well to do great things." Sofia Ameti '11 is currently coaching rhythmic gymnastics. James Huber '11 just completed his sophomore year in Poolesville High School's Global Ecology Magnet program, and was placed on the academic high honor roll. He was the lead varsity goalie for the Falcons' soccer team, and he played both defense and goalie for the junior varsity and varsity lacrosse teams. Brian Huber '12 finished his freshman year at St. Andrew's Episcopal School, and acheived honor roll for all three trimesters. He was one of three freshman recipients of the Lion's Award, given to students who compete on three varsity teams in a school year. He competed in cross country (receiving the Coaches' Award), indoor track, and lacrosse (receiving Rookie of the Year Award). Anne Hundertmark '12 recently completed her freshman year in the Humanities House at Poolesville High 12 School, where she was on the Honor Roll and the Principal's List. Outside of school, she participated in tennis and violin. She is a member of The Water Project Club, which raises money to build wells in cities that are in need. This summer she is participating in two classes at American University and will take a health course online to complete her credit.
