Together as a team, the Board of Trustees and the Head of
School work to advance the School's mission.
e Board of Trustees, whose membership includes the
Head of School, provides governance for Barnesville School
of Arts & Sciences. e Board carries the overall and
ultimate responsibility of the School's management, poli-
cies, and perpetuation. It hires and evaluates the Head of
School, who is responsible for the oversight of the daily op-
erations and for the implementation of Board policies. e
Board of Trustees serves as a major resource for the support
and growth of the School.
e Board's responsibilities include:
• providing competent management of the School's finan-
cial, physical, and human resources;
• ensuring the School's long-term financial health;
• establishing policy;
• perpetuating the School's mission, keeping in mind its
unique history and tradition
The Langstaff family has been part of the Barnesville School community as students, par-
ents, Board Members, educational partners, and friends for more than 20 years. Second,
third, and fourth graders visited Shepherd's Hey Farm to share songs & visit with the sheep.
