ARE THERE ANY BARNESVILLE MEMORIES, TRADITIONS, OR TEACHERS THAT YOU HAVE SHARED? e core values and traditions are the same from when I was at Barnesville until now. Cienna and I both made holiday plates each year. I have a nice collection dating back to 1989. Mrs. Roos was my gym teacher! Mr. Hart was my 8th grade teacher and accom- panied my class on the 8th grade New York City trip, and he was Cienna's 7th grade social studies teacher. Mrs. Gekas started teaching 3rd grade when I was in the 4th grade. I was ecstatic for Cienna to have her as a teacher. Barbara is the owner of Cugini's Pizza restaurant in Poolesville. Barnesville Preschool students visit to learn about how restaurants work and the role businesses play in our communities. Cindy Fowler, Barbara's mother, has served two generations of students as a Barnesville volunteer! She has donated floral arrangements for numerous special occasions at Barnesville, including Grandparents' and Grandfriends' Day.
